Another day in Second Life, another concert. Today I was at The Night Owl for The Vinnie Show and all ready for an hour of live music.
A first time again, Vinnie surpised me right from the start as he played a medley of Sting’s “If I ever lose my faith in you” and KT Tunstall’s “If only”. I couldn’t wish for a better start as I’m always excited when artists play originals or make their own unique interpretations and on top of that playing his set on an acoustic guitar. Very talkative – not in a bad way – he lead through the show and even serenaded the hostess and the following performer. Very entertaining.
Vinnie has been a professional musician since 1980 and has been podcasting shows into Second Life since 2012. He performs acoustic versions of classic songs spanning from the 1950’s through the current day. While he is specialized in 1960’s and 1970’s, he also has more than an hour of original songs.
The Night Owl is an international and romantic park that offers live music every day with a break on saturdays. The range of the presented music styles includes jazz, blues, rock, funk, folk, varieties and even poets. It is worth a visit.
