“Guitar or Piano? Great anyway.”

Surfside Hideaway again and today it was Aminius Writer. Actually I wanted to see him last week but couldn’t make it. So I was happy to catch his show there tonight.

@ Surfside Hideaway

Starting on acoustic guitar, Arminius’ slightly smoky voice made his cover versions of Mando Diao’s “Dance with somebody” and The Cure’s “Boys don’t cry” very catchy and easy to listen to. But not only playing guitar, from time to time he switched to piano which made his show varied and entertaining. A very likeable artist, not so famous – for me one of the insider tips here in Second Life.

Coming from germany, Aminius is a passionate musician who performs in Second Life for over 5 years now. Always playing acoustic, he is heavily influenced by Ryan Adams, Damien Rice, Beady Eye, Radiohead or Snowpatrol and manages to give his cover versions an own note. He mostly plays alternative, brit or indie songs.

The Surfside Hideaway, one of the beach-themed venues, offers lots of live music throughout the week. If you plan a visit there, be aware of the shark – don’t get bitten. Forth time lucky, slowly it’s getting scary.

Thank you Aminius for a wonderful show!
