Tryout thursday – that could be the motto of my visit at Brazen Head earlier this evening. Haven’t known neither the venue nor the artist Chocolatblack I was curious what to expect.
Another one of the few instrumental only performers in Second Life is Chocolatblack. Super relaxed and jazzy his saxophon tunes are a good change and a proof for the diversity of the Second Life music scene. Very talkative, he loved to improvise and to interact with the audience. On top of that, the good sound quality perfected his show. Being a saxophonist he doubtlessly fills out a niche, so if you like jazzy tunes be sure to catch him.
Chocolatblack is a Frenchman from Paris and has been performing in Second Life for a couple of years now at places such as Mama’s Pub, The Nightowl Club and of course at his home venue Home of Peace. His shows are filled with a fun, easy going vibe. He performs a mix of Jazz, fusion, pop and reggae that blend seamlessly together. Being an autodidact, he never took a lesson, never opened book to learn how to play the saxophon which shows the extraordinary talent of this musician.
Brazen Head is a pub themed live music venue which offers events on a regular base. The small stage and a roomy dancefloor can hold a good crowd.
Thank you Chocolatblack – what a relaxed and jazzy hour!
